Northern Himalayas reserves the right to de-board passengers if the actual weight differs from the declared weight.
No refund shall be provided in such cases.
Excess Weight Charges

Passengers above 75 kg will be charged INR 2,500 per kg, payable in Dehradun before flying.

If incorrect weight is found during final pilot verification, INR 3,000 per kg will apply or the passenger may be de-boarded without refund.

If total passenger weight exceeds 450 kg, a penalty of INR 1,20,000 + GST shall apply and flying will depend on Pilot & AME approval.

Passenger names cannot be exchanged within 48 hours prior to departure.
3. Luggage Policy

Only one soft duffel bag (maximum 5 kg) per passenger is allowed.

Duffel bags will be provided on arrival.
-
Hard-case luggage, trolley bags, or large suitcases are strictly prohibited.
4. Flying Schedule & Dham Sequence

The order of visiting Dhams may vary due to weather, technical issues, or government permissions.
-
Departure timing and flying sequence are subject to operational clearance.
-
New Chardham passengers scheduled for the day shall be given priority over backlog passengers.
5. Hotel Accommodation

Northern Himalayas reserves the right to change hotels based on availability.
-
Groups of 6 or more passengers may stay in different hotels due to helicopter weight distribution.
-
Rooms are provided on double or triple sharing basis only.
-
Single occupancy rooms are available at an additional charge of INR 45,000 per person (tax inclusive).
-
Any extra night halt at any Dham or Dehradun must be paid directly by the guest on the same day.
6. Bad Weather & Force Majeure Conditions
Flying in the Himalayas is subject to Force Majeure conditions including but not limited to:

Delayed ATC permissions
-
VVIP movements
-
Indian Air Force NOTAM restrictions
-
Technical aircraft issues
-
Crew illness
-
Late reporting at helipads
Passengers must be prepared for delays or itinerary changes.
It is strongly advised to keep one buffer day beyond the 5N/6D itinerary.
7. Itinerary Amendments
Due to weather or backlog:

Dodham, Ekdham, or Teendham may be covered in 1–2 days
-
In most cases of prolonged backlog, the tour may be cancelled
-
If no flying occurs from Dehradun, the tour may be treated as cancelled and may not shift to the next day

Transfers are provided only on arrival and departure days.

Transfers to Haridwar or Rishikesh are chargeable at INR 8,000 per cab.

11. Kedarnath Shuttle Operations

Kedarnath shuttle services operate under IRCTC control.

Charter passengers cannot be prioritized.
-
If Kedarnath darshan is not possible on arrival day, it may be covered the next day and Badrinath adjusted accordingly.

Passengers may be split into different shuttle flights as per IRCTC scheduling.

14. Cancellation Policy

Up to 30 days before flying date: 40% cancellation charge

0–30 days before flying date: No refund

If yatra is cancelled from Dehradun due to force majeure, 10% flight preparation charges shall be deducted
15. Force Majeure & Refund Policy
No refund or compensation shall apply in case of:
Partial Completion Policy

If 3 Dhams are completed and 1 Dham remains, approx. INR 15,000 per person shall be issued as a credit note.

Additional services or extra stays will be deducted.
-
No refund for unused services booked in advance.
16. Government Policies & Taxes
Any change in government policies, SOPs, levies, or taxes after confirmation shall be payable by passengers before tour commencement.
17. Mid-Tour Cancellation
If passengers cancel mid-tour:
Northern Himalayas is not responsible for losses related to hotels, flights, buses, or trains booked independently.
18. No-Show Policy
Failure to report at scheduled time or location will be treated as No Show, and no refund shall be applicable.
19. No Flying Scenario

If no flying occurs due to weather or force majeure, proportional refund shall be issued excluding taxes, royalty fees, and 10% flight preparation charges.

Refunds processed after 30 working days post-season completion.

If flight attempts are made but landing fails, 20% operational charges shall be deducted.
20. Regulatory Permissions & Safety

All flights operate strictly under approvals from DGCA, ATC, State Government, and Local Authorities.

Even if other helicopters operate, Northern Himalayas may cancel operations if safety is compromised.
-
Passenger safety remains the highest priority at all times.
If helicopter capacity is reduced by authorities, the cost difference shall be shared equally among remaining passengers.
21. Emergency Evacuation Policy

Evacuation decisions rest solely with Northern Himalayas based on safety assessment.
-
If evacuation is arranged by the company, transportation cost will be borne by the company.
-
If guests choose independent evacuation, all costs shall be their responsibility with no refund.
22. National / State Emergency
-
In case of COVID positivity, government cancellation, or national/state emergency, no refund shall be applicable.
-
A credit voucher will be issued against advance payment, usable for future helicopter tours or charter services.
-
Credit vouchers are transferable with prior written intimation.
