Do Dham Yatra 6D5N
Do Dham Yatra 5 Nights 6 Days Overview
The Do Dham Yatra 5 Nights 6 Days is one of the most popular pilgrimage journeys in Uttarakhand, covering two of the holiest temples in Hinduism — Kedarnath and Badrinath. Surrounded by the beautiful Himalayas, the yatra offers a unique combination of spirituality, devotion, and stunning mountain views.
Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is located at an altitude of 3,583 metres in Rudraprayag district and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of India. Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is situated at an altitude of 3,133 metres in Chamoli district and forms an important part of the Chota Char Dham circuit. Together, these two shrines represent the divine energies of Shiva and Vishnu, making the Do Dham Yatra a spiritually complete pilgrimage for many devotees.
Compared to the Char Dham Yatra, which usually requires 10 to 12 days, the Do Dham Yatra can be comfortably completed in 6 days, making it an ideal option for families, senior citizens, working professionals, and first-time pilgrims. It allows travelers to experience both sacred destinations without the longer duration and higher cost associated with the full Char Dham circuit.
The journey typically starts from Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Delhi and covers approximately 900–950 km by road. Pilgrims travel through scenic Himalayan valleys, river confluences, charming hill towns, and sacred pilgrimage sites before reaching Kedarnath and Badrinath. While Badrinath is fully accessible by road, Kedarnath requires a trek of around 16–18 km from Gaurikund. Helicopter, pony, palki, and porter services are also available for those who prefer an easier option.
A standard 5 Nights 6 Days itinerary usually includes two nights in Guptkashi, one night in Kedarnath, one night in Badrinath, and one night in Rudraprayag or Srinagar. Our packages include hotel accommodation, transportation, and breakfast and dinner during the journey.
The Do Dham Yatra is generally considered moderate in difficulty due to the Kedarnath trek, while the rest of the journey is comfortable and road-based. The best time to undertake the Do Dham Yatra is between May and June and again from September to October, when the weather is pleasant and the Himalayan views are at their best.
For devotees seeking the blessings of both Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu in a single pilgrimage, the Do Dham Yatra offers a meaningful, well-balanced, and unforgettable spiritual experience in the heart of the Himalayas.
